St Mary's celebrated World Health Day today by taking part in our sponsored walk this morning. The children in the Junior School, Senior School and Nursery used the occasion to fundraise for Ukraine, Trócaire and school funds. It was so nice to celebrate a whole school event together for the first time since 2020. More photos are available to view in the Sponsored Walk Gallery.
Thank you to "Live Music Now" for delivering a Jazz Taster Session to the children in the Senior School yesterday on behalf of Derry City and Strabane District Council as part of the City of Derry Jazz Festival. The children had great fun singing, clapping and dancing along to the tunes! The Jazz Festival runs from 28th April to 2nd May for more information visit https://cityofderryjazzfestival.com/
We had another fun day in St Mary's today with our children wearing green to raise money for Trócaire. We also held a Céilidh in the Junior School with Irish dancing, singing, and there was even a sighting of a Leprechaun! Thanks so much to Mrs O'Donnell for hosting the Céilidh and playing the harp. Thanks to all our fantastic Irish Dancers and thanks to all the boys and girls who contributed to the Trócaire fundraising. You can view a video of the Céilidh in the School Gallery.
